A blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Sangiovese grapes from vines planted in 2009. The fermentation in concrete is followed by a 12 months long ageing process in wood and 6 months in bottles. A wine that expresses all its fineness, elegance and drinkability

Villa Calicantus 

"The ultimate goal of Villa Calicantus is to demonstrate how Bardolino can (re) become a wine for aging if the grapes from which it derives come from suitable vineyards and if then the wine is respected in the cellar. Our vineyards are located in three very suitable areas of Bardolino, different for microclimate, soils and exposure. Each wine comes from only one of these three areas, and within these areas, each wine is assigned certain parcels. In this way, each wine will tell the intrinsic story of a vintage, in a specific vineyard, in a specific sub-area of ​​Bardolino. In the cellar nothing is added except very low doses of sulfur, it is fermented with indigenous grape yeasts, it is decanted and bottled following the lunar cycles, it is not filtered and it is not clarified."
