100% Chardonnay
This wine is really the opposite of what you may expect from a chardonnay. Full throttle orange wine, make no mistake this is a wine with intensity, texture and body. Rich and opulent with notes of candied nuts, honey, forest floor and smoke. This wine can stand up to bold flavours and spices. We love to eat this with indian food and any dishes that have a lot of garlic or onion as it can really stand up to them.
Franco Terpin's small winery is located in San Floriano del Collio. He lives on the Italian side of the Collio, right on the Slovenian border. In the 1970s, Franco converted the family farm completely to viticulture. Since then, Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Tokai Friulano, Chardonnay, a little Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have taken root on eight hectares of vineyards.
Since 2000, he has been making wines in a completely new style: with long maceration times and very little to no added sulphur.
