Agricola VINB 'Zappa e Puta' Frappato 2022

Zappa e Puta is Agricola VINB's expression of 100% Frappato from Chiaramonte, Sicily. Made by friends Biagio and Vittorio, this is the second vintage of the project and the guys have really hit the ground running. This is one of the most ethereal, delicate, and fragrant examples of Frappato you'll ever taste!

Agricola VINB was founded in 2021 by two friends Vittorio and Biagio in southern Sicily with their vines between Vittoria and Chiaramonte. The vines here are planted on Terra Rossa – red earth over limestone – which gives the wines their distinctive minerality and energy. The farming is biodynamic and winemaking fully natural without any SO2 use. The wines are striking: extremely pure and delicate, energetic and complex.

The boys work around 4 hectares of vines so production is small and the wines are limited. This is a producer to watch! Their approach is uncompromising – biodynamic farming on the unique Terra Rossa soils, spontaneous fermentation, and absolutely no additions in the cellar, not even sulphur. The result is wines that are genuinely alive, expressing the purity of the fruit and the energy of the terroir.

What you get is ethereal, delicate, and fragrant Frappato with layers of red fruit, floral notes, and that characteristic lightness that makes this variety so special. The Terra Rossa soils bring minerality and structure without weighing down the wine's natural elegance. This is Frappato at its most pure and expressive.
