A top selection of the grapes from all of the vineyards. 100% Sangiovese fermented in cement and open bins, macerated on skins 40-60 years. The wine is aged fro 18 months in a combination of tonneaux, cement and stainless steel. Complex, detailed and continues to unravel over an evening.
Tenuta di Carleone is located in the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany, near the small village of Radda. The wine is made by Englishman Sean O’Callaghan, who has been making wine in Tuscany for over 20 years. Sean is known for his ability to make pure, elegant wines that offer complexity, subtlety and balance. The vineyards are farmed with biodynamic practices.
