Masiero Giusto Remix NV

Giusto Remix is Masiero's take on something between a rosé and a light red – a skin-fermented blend of Pinot Grigio and Tai Rosso from their vineyards in the hills around Trissino in Veneto. It's the kind of wine that doesn't fit neatly into categories, and that's exactly what makes it interesting.

Masiero was established in 2000 on volcanic soils at around 400 metres altitude, where a natural amphitheatre facing southeast creates ideal conditions for growing grapes. They farm biodynamically, avoiding any chemical intervention that could alter the microclimate or destroy the vitality of the soil. It's the kind of hands-on, thoughtful farming that you can taste in the wine.

The Pinot Grigio gets skin contact, giving the wine more colour, texture, and grip than a typical white or rosé. Combined with Tai Rosso, the result is something that sits in that fascinating space between styles – light enough to serve chilled, but with enough structure and character to work with heartier dishes. Think red berries, a touch of spice, and that characteristic texture from the skin fermentation.

The 'Remix' in the name hints at the playful approach here – this isn't a wine that takes itself too seriously. It's honest, unpretentious, and genuinely enjoyable. Masiero has been working to recover old vines in the Veneto countryside since 2014, proving their commitment to preserving the region's winemaking heritage, and Giusto Remix is part of that story.
