We are big fans of skin contact Sauvignon Blanc. This wine has around 11 days on skins, resulting in a wine with light tannins, more focused aromatics and a great texture on the palate.
Young, up and coming winemaker Christoph Heiss spent time working in New Zealand, Germany and South Africa, before deciding to focus on his own project in eastern Kamptal, Austria. Using chosen parcels from the family vineyards, Christoph has developed a very small production of stunning ‘Malinga’ natural wines. Organically farmed grapes are hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented and sometimes aged on lees. All the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered with low sulphur addition.
