Fresh and citrus driven fruit. The palate is soft but still precise and clean. This wine is such a well priced wine that certainly over delivers comparative to to her wines at this price in the region. Eclats is made from biodynamic clay grown grapes and is a blend of the classic three champagne grapes: 60% Pinot Meunier with 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. 20% of the wine is barrel fermented in large oak foudre, followed by 30 months on the lees. Eclats de Meuliere means "Burst of millstone" recalling the nature of soils which are mineral rich calcareous and clay soils.
The domaine was established in the mid 60s by Michel and Marie-Claude Jeaunaux and the 5.7 hecatres estate is now run by Cyril and Clemence Jeaunaux-Robin.
