Bella Mistala is a Cava Brut Rosé that does exactly what you want from Spanish sparkling wine – it's fresh, lively, and doesn't cost a fortune. Made from Grenache (Garnacha) using the traditional method, it's a wine that works just as well as an aperitif as it does alongside food.
Cava often gets overlooked in favour of Champagne or Prosecco, but when it's done well, it offers serious value. Bella Mistala is a perfect example – delicate bubbles, fresh red berries, a hint of citrus, and that characteristic dry finish that makes it so food-friendly. There's enough going on to keep it interesting, but nothing feels heavy or overdone.
The traditional method means the wine gets its bubbles from a second fermentation in the bottle, just like Champagne. It's more labour-intensive than other methods, but you can taste the difference in the texture and complexity. The Grenache gives it a lovely pale pink colour and that fresh berry character that makes rosé Cava so appealing.
It's the kind of bottle you can open for a celebration or just because it's Friday. Works beautifully with tapas, seafood, light salads, or on its own as an aperitif. Serve it well-chilled and enjoy it for what it is – honest, well-made Spanish sparkling wine at a great price.
