“Semi-carbonic fermentation, with 3 month maceration on whole clusters. Vinification in stainless steel. Luna is a wine born in 2022 as an experiment. The vintage was not good for white grapes, so we thought about how to process them to focus the wine on the best aspects. 

Semi-carbonation was essential to first extract the characteristics of the fruit and then, with long maceration integrate and refine them. In 2023, thanks also to a more balanced vintage, the contrast between the fullness of the maceration and the sapidity of the soils makes it a wine that goes from being an experiment to being an author!”

“La Bacheta is located in Custoza, on the morainic hills surrounding Lake Garda. From the sandy and gravelly soils formed by debris transported by the original glacier, the vines of local varieties provide us with grapes that we vinify with respect and care.

The work we do in the vineyard is increasingly aimed at preserving its integrity, so we try to limit operations that cause soil compaction. Along with the 4 hectares of vineyard we preserve trees that help us keep the escarpments, cultivate vegetable gardens by reusing all organic waste materials, including from winemaking as mulch, fruit and olive trees and mixes of flowers and plants useful for pollinators.

Each vintage requires interpretation, with our vineyards ranging from 20 to 60 years old, from clay to steeper sand escarpments, we try to express the essence.”
