Arbois Savagnin, Le Glanon 2023

Le Glanon's Arbois Savagnin is a classic expression of the Jura's most distinctive white grape, made in the traditional ouillé style – meaning the barrels are topped up to prevent oxidation. This is Savagnin at its purest, showing the grape's characteristic tension and minerality without the nutty, oxidative character of Vin Jaune.

Le Glanon is a small producer in Arbois, the heart of the Jura, working with old vines and minimal intervention winemaking. The vineyards sit on the region's distinctive limestone and marl soils, which give the wines their characteristic mineral edge and precision.

What you get is a wine with real character – citrus, stone fruit, white flowers, a touch of salinity, and that distinctive Jura tension that keeps everything lifted and precise. There's weight and texture here, but nothing feels heavy. The acidity is bright and the finish is long, making it incredibly food-friendly.
