Costacielo Rosato, Lunarossavini 2022

Costacielo Rosato is Lunarossavini's rosé made from 100% Aglianico, one of southern Italy's most important red grapes. This is rosé with real character and structure – more depth than your typical pale pink wine but still elegant, fragrant and pure, showing what Aglianico can do when it's handled as a rosato.

Lunarossavini is a small producer located just outside of Salerno on the Amalfi Coast, working with traditional Campanian varieties and farming thoughtfully. The Costacielo vineyard sits closer to the sea, where the maritime influence keeps everything fresh and lifted.

Aglianico is known for making powerful, structured red wines, but as a rosato it shows a different side – red berries, herbs, a touch of spice, and that characteristic grip and acidity that makes it incredibly food-friendly. There's more weight here than most rosés, sitting somewhere between a light rosé and a light red.

The winemaking is straightforward – direct pressing to get just the right amount of colour and tannin, then fermentation in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The result is a rosato that works beautifully with food – grilled meats, pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, charcuterie, or anything that needs a wine with enough structure to stand up to it.

Serve it cool (not ice cold) and don't treat it like a typical rosé. This is a wine with personality and depth, perfect for those who want something more substantial than the usual pale pink offerings.
